"History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived,   but if faced with courage, need not      be lived again."

            ~Maya Angelou

Counseling is a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to achieve mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with tweens/teens and their families, couples, and individuals.

Whether presenting, working with a group, or interacting face to face with another, it is through service to others that I find meaning and fulfillment in my life’s work. I focus on my client’s entire wellbeing, including their intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. If any one of these facets of your being is out of balance, or lacking in some way, then the whole of you is affected.

How can counseling help you?

When the burdens of life interfere with how we function in the world, relationships become strained and life feels lackluster.  In counseling we first look at causes; you might be grieving a loss, the kids might be driving you to distraction, you might be in the process of making a life changing decision, or you might just feel as if something isn’t quite right.

People seek counseling for a variety of reasons and each person brings in their own unique strengths, needs, and concerns. Counseling empowers you to accomplish the mental health and wellness desired for overcoming obstacles.

What to expect

We examine how whatever is challenging your ability to enjoy life, maintain healthy, strong and fulfilling relationships, and maximize your potential as a human being.

Together we explore strategies for bridging the gap between where you are and where you feel that you would like to be, whether through shifting one’s focus, improving communication skills, re-examining one’s values, or whatever else might be necessary to break through to a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.
